Born in the vibrant landscapes of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, my journey to founding K’s Event Decorations and Rentals reflects the richness of my heritage. Since relocating to the U.S. in 1993, I have brought the beauty and diversity of my Caribbean roots into everything I create.

As a single mother of two, I’ve faced many challenges. When my teenage daughter became pregnant, I leaned on my faith and love to guide her with forgiveness and encouragement. The “K” in our name honors my granddaughter, Kaylani—a symbol of hope and resilience. Witnessing her determination to finish school and begin her college journey taught me a powerful lesson: our current circumstances do not define our future. This realization inspired me to pursue my own dream of earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

My entrepreneurial spark was ignited while planning my mother’s 60th birthday. The frustrating and costly process of sourcing various event needs from multiple vendors highlighted an unmet need in my community. This experience motivated me to establish K’s Event Decorations and Rentals.
Starting this business came with sacrifices, including leaving my job of 22 years. With little experience and finance I tapped into unwavering faith and I transformed my home into a showroom and launched the company.
